ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
One of Namibia's national treasures is the incomparable Etosha National Park. It is situated in northern Namibia. The Etosha pan is the main attraction of this national park as it is where the animals come to slake their thirst.
The area of the Etosha National Park comprises 23 000 square kilometres and the animals that can be seen include elephant, zebras, giraffe, lion, leopard, rhinoceros, cheetah, hyena, ostrich, wildebeest, eland, kudu, springbok, gemsbok, impala and many other types of antelope.
Game viewing is good throughout the year and there is an extensive network of roads for touring parties or self-guided drives through the park. There are camps for those wishing to stay overnight or longer.

NAMIB-NAUKLUFT NATIONAL PARK
This national park is situated is situated in the Namib Desert and is a sanctuary for a large number of wildlife.
KAUDOM GAME RESERVE
This game reserve is situated in north east Namibia on the border of Namibia and Botswana. It is 385 000 hectares and the area is mainly dry Kalahari sand veld covered by dessert plants and trees such as acacia and manketi.
The roads are rough and not vehicle-friendly and tourists must travel in convoys of at least two four-wheel-drive vehicles. It is a self-sufficient tour, so the would-be tourist must stock up with food, water, vehicle spares, petrol and other equipment. There are two small, unfenced camps available.
Animals that can be seen include the usual collection of Southern African game: elephant, lion, giraffe, wild dog and different kinds of buck.
MAMILI NATIONAL PARK
Directly south from the Mudumu National Park, also in the Caprivi region of Namibia, is 40 000 hectares of wetland - the Mamili National Park.
It is more difficult to tour this park than it is to tour the Mudumu National Park. The Mamili National Park is on the border of Botswana and the Botswana wildlife often migrates in dry seasons to the this park in search of water. The game include elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and buck.
MUDUMU NATIONAL PARK
The Mudumu National Park lies within the caprivi strip of Namibia and the area comprises 85 000 hectares. It is mainly wetland with vast numbers of hippo and crocodiles. Game animals can be viewed in the surrounding dry savannah countryside. This game includes elephant, buffalo, zebra, buck and giraffe.
MAHANGO GAME RESERVE
This game reserve is situated on the Okavango River and is populated with vast numbers of hippopotamus and crocodiles. Other animals include elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, hyenas, buck and a large number of bird life. There are no rest camps within the game reserve but there are a number of privately owned game lodges outside of the game reserve.
WEST CAPRIVI GAME RESERVE
The reserve is one of the most beautiful in Southern Africa - it lies between the Okavango and Kwando rivers. The reserve is a mixture of woods and savanna with game such as lion, elephant, buffalo, buck, hippopotamus, crocodile and magnificent aquatic birds.
